Thoughtful Friends

Pam McColloch ordered this Banana Split Pie for her Dad. Back several years ago, I made all of the pies for the WCYB food booth at the WC A & L Fair. Her Dad said that my Banana Split Pie was the best. I gave her the recipe, but Pam said it just wasn't like mine! Thanks Pam for being such a good friend and daughter! Kathy Ewton is a wonderful person! Kathy orders my Chicken Salad Sandwiches for her close friends when there is a sickness or a death in the family. Of course, I will drop what I am doing to help someone and when Kathy called last Sunday and needed the sandwiches for that day and then again for this Sunday, I was more than glad to help. What a great person Kathy is! I am blessed by having her as a friend!

Dekalb Co. Football

Laura Carter had asked me to make her daughter Caroline a special cake for her boyfriend Tyler's birthday.
Tyler is a student at Motlow and had played football for Dekalb Co. This awesome football cake is perfect for a teenager's birthday or anyone who loves football.
I made my own homemade yellow cake and monogrammed Dekalb Co.'s initials on the side.
Happy Birthday Tyler!

Welcoming Babies and Starting A New Family

Tammy Crouch ordered this cake for a baby shower she is hosting. It is a classic white cake with pink and white buttercream icing just for a sweet baby girl. Tammy e-mailed me a copy of the invitation and asked me to make it just like it. When Tammy picked it up, she was so excited. She didn't image it would look exactly like the picture.
Enjoy!
Custom orders can be made any size, shape, or color. Pictures help tremendously.

This is the Grooms Cake that Ginger ordered for their wedding. Craig is a "Drag Racer" and enjoys everything about the sport. I did some research and every track that I googled had crumbly asphalt, oil spots, and even a christmas tree (starting lights). Craig wanted a pair of his own wrenches crossed in the center.
Good Luck to the new Mr. & Mrs. Craig Sinks!

Giant Birthday Cupcake

Tenelle Davenport ordered this cake for her daughter's 5th birthday. She requested my homemade chocolate cake and make it in the shape of an over sized cupcake. I know that there are pans for making a cake like this, but I chose to make it and sculpt it by hand. She requested pretty sprinkles and a cherry on top as well.
Happy Birthday!

Ginger Whiles & Craig Sinks Wedding

Today Ginger Whiles and Craig Sinks began their life together. Ginger had ordered this cake several months ago. The yellow flowers really pop on this cake.
Congratulations Ginger and Craig!

Friday Night Quick Dessert

Last night Katie and Dillon had some of their friends over to hang out instead of hanging out at the Fair, they hung out here and had a blast! They all were wanting something "Sweet" to eat after supper, so I fixed this delicious Strawberry Cake with Strawberry Icing drizzled over it. I put it on one of my favorite cake plates. It's a beautiful piece of Depression Glass that my mother gave me when I got married. It was hers for over 30 years then, and I've had it for 23 now.

Tennessee Fever

After today's big win over UAB, I just had to post this cool Neyland Stadium Cake!

A Daughter's Love

Wendy Crim-Anderson called me last week and told me that her sweet mother (Janice Crim) needed some goodies to help her feel better. Mrs. Janice has had a total knee replacement 3 weeks ago. Wendy told me that her mother loves my Chicken Salad on Croissants, my Fresh Fruit Tray, & absolutely loves my Banana Pudding.

I absolutely love mango's, strawberries, grapes (green and red), and pineapple. I am just an island girl at heart. This mango was so sweet and just ripe for eating.
My Banana Pudding is a Southern Tradition at our home!

I hope Mrs. Janice is feeling better soon! She has an absolutely precious daughter in Wendy! You gotta love children who want to do something for their parents when they are ill.

Thank You Wendy!

Autumn Is In The Air

With Autumn in the air, what a better way to celebrate than these darling cakes. The first cake is a wonderful homemade cake, in your favorite flavor decorated as an elegant pumpkin. The second cake is a darling cake for a birthday or for a school or office party.

Tailgate Fever

With football being in full swing, what more fitting than a Stadium Cake supporting your favorite team. Of course, my Neyland Stadium cake is a favorite among Tennessee fans. Weather it be the Tennessee Vols to Warren County Pioneers, this cake would be the talk of the tailgaters!

TRADITIONS

Today, Katie and I did our annual tradition. We went and registered all of our goodies at the Warren County A & L Fair. Katie has some art work, canned items, and a crocheted mat.
While we were out there, we saw of course some friendly faces while we were there. It is so amazing how a small community like ours can come together and have such a wonderful memorial that has been going on for 55 years. Yes, 55 years!
After we got things registered, we got ourselves in line for the first of many caramel apples and candied applies. All I can say is "My Lips Are RED!" It was GREAT! One memory that I keep having as a child, those wonderful candied apples! Of course, we brought Dillon one home. You ought to have seen his eyes. He was on the lawn mower and spotted it in my hand. A look I will never forget!
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

The Birthday Marathon Day!

This beautiful cake is for my friend Lara Carter's daughter Caroline. Today they are celebrating her Sweet 16th Birthday! To make it look even more beautiful I placed it on one of my antique crystal cake plates.
Caroline is a beautiful girl!
Happy Birthday!
Amy Mayfield ordered this darling cake for her daughter Katy Mae's 5th Birthday. She also wanted some of my "Secret Recipe" Chicken Salad. Dots must have been contagious today or something. Lara and Amy both requested polka-dots.
Happy Birthday Katy Mae!

Pink, White, and Mint are so crisp and clean looking!

Sandra Rankhorn ordered this cool cake for her son's birthday. He's all about Dale Jr. and the 88 car. Sandra was so sweet with her compliments on how my cakes melt in her mouth.

Enjoy!

Happy Birthday!

My special friend Patti Clarke ordered cup cakes for Rae's Birthday and for Tailgating at tomorrow's MTSU football game. Patti requested my homemade white cake with white icing and my homemade fudge cake with chocolate icing. To make it special she requested Rae's initials monogrammed on them.
Happy Birthday Rae! I can't wait to see her as a beautiful bride this May! Congrats to the Clarke family!

I wanted to have a cream filling inside of each of the cupcakes, but Patti said, "Nope, can't do that cause somebody would get hurt." I just about died laughing!
Somebody's gonna dance tomorrow, not tonight, but tomorrow! lol

Autumn Is Just Around The Corner

Pam Youngblood ordered these beautiful cookies. She said that I could "just have fun" with them so.......with Labor Day over and Summer vacation a memory, I thought that it would be absolutely a wonderful time to whip out some autumn leaf cookies with orange buttercream icing and orange sprinkles. And of course, to tie it up I added a darling ribbon with happy
jack-o-lanterns.
Enjoy!

What's better than an Old Fashioned Sundrop Cake made from scratch. Yes, scratch. No lemon cake mix in this one. Real butter, flour, sugar, and some secret ingredients, and of course 12 oz. of Sundrop. It's my own original recipe. My customers tomorrow will enjoy a slice of this wonderful Middle Tennessee Tradition.
It's an award winner at the WC A&L Fair!

Wilson & Cantrell Wedding

Wonderful Memories!
Summer e-mailed me these beautiful pictures of her wedding and I wanted to share them with you.
She was an absolute beautiful bride! Summer is a teacher in Cookeville and was so nervous about the final details of her wedding. I told her that there was nothing for her to worry about with her reception. After the cakes were delivered, she gave me the sweetest call telling me how perfect I made it for her.

This is a picture of Summer's cake. It was breathless!

Today, I got a couple of calls from my friend Patti Clarke. Rae is going to be married at their lake house in May of 2009. I am so honored to have Patti as my friend and am so excited about Rae's wedding!

Thank You Summer for the beautiful pictures!
