Simons/Pryor Wedding Cake

Angie Simons and Mitch Pryor were recently married. Angie sent me an e-mail from Dallas, TX asking me to make her wedding cake. I think that she made a wonderful choice in cake. She wanted the Classic White Cake with Cornelle Lace and a Burgundy Sheer Ribbon. The Lenox topper was exquisite as well!
Congratulations to Angie and Mitch!
I Love this pictue and am so happy to have it as my header this week!

Just A Fondant Weekend!

Sherry Slaughter called me a few weeks ago and asked me to make a cake for her daughter's birthday. She asked me if I could make Fondant flowers, butterflies, etc. My answer was YES! She had a specific picture that she e-mailed me and wanted me to fix it just like it. Well....here's the finished product! Her daughter's favorite flavor is Chocolate. Well....my Special Chocolate Cake is a quick fix!
The Fondant Butterflies and Dogwood Blooms are beautiful!
Shondra Elliott asked me to make 4 dzn. Cupcakes for a very special Baby Shower. She asked me to make my Homemade Classic White Cake with Buttercream Filling inside as well as Buttercream Icing. She wanted Fondant Butterflies as well. How precious.....
Carly Pack was celebrating her Birthday and wanted to have an "Over The Top" cake. I made her my Homemade Yellow Cake which is her favorite! Sally had e-mailed me a specific picture and here it is.....Zebra Fondant as well!

I was asked to make a darling Baby Shower Tea for our Special Friends New Grand-daughter. Bennie and Vanessa Cannon are so proud of their new addition. I made her cake as a Classic White with Buttercream Icing with some darling Fondant Butterflies as well.
The butterflies look like they are about to take off flying!

Nelson/Pugh Wedding Pictures

This is the Fellowship Hall at the First United Methodist Church in McMinnville. This was an absolute beautiful venue for a Reception.
Here's a "Very Surprised Susan and Tony" as they enter the Reception Hall.
This is the first thing you saw in the Reception Hall as the beautiful Sun was beaming through. It made a beautiful picture and I had to share it with you.
Hailey is lighting all of the candles for each table.

Amy is serving the Main Corse of the Meal. All of the food that was served for the Sit Down Dinner is original Cajun food flown in from New Orleans. I was nervous about this, but.....it was a breeze! A Cajan Wedding Reception....No Problem! We served 150+.
Menue:
Turducken (Turkey stuffed with duck, chicken, and sausage)
Chicken Stuffed With Either: Crawfish, Shrimp Etoufea, or Regular Stuffing
Sweet Potatoes with Pralines
Green Beans With Fresh Potatoes
Max Shox Corn
Rolls
and......
Crawfish Boil before and......
after.
Banana's Foster from "Scratch". This New Orleans delacy was a hit!

Millionaire Brownies.....
5 types of Cheese, Veggie Trays, and I forgot to take a picture of the Fruit Trays....
Tony's passion is Caving. So....he asked me to make a Homemade Carrot cake with Cream Cheese Icing and to make a replica of his mining helmet for his Grooms Cake.
This is her beautiful Wedding Cake. She wanted each cake to be a different flavor. The cakes were the following flavors: Classic White, Red Velvet, Chocolate, Strawberry, and Lemonaide. Each were decorated with Buttercream Icing in a Basket Weave pattern. Beautiful! She said it looked like an Easter Basket. The Mints were all beautiful Yellow Cream Cheese Hand Pressed Mints.
Susan had changed into her beautiful Going Away Suit and they posed with the cake and did all of their pictures.
Susan is standing by one of the beautiful tables. They were absolutely georgus!
Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Tony Pugh!

Blair Sinks Turns 2!

My sweet friend Lauren Sinks shot me an e-mail a few days ago asking me to make her sweet boy~Blair a John Deere Theme Birthday Cake. I shot her back a picture of the cake that I had done for Evan McDowell back in January. She loved it. So....I chanced it up and this is the finished product. I think it's absolutely adorable.
Happy Birthday Blair Sinks!!!!!
