Happy 30th Birthday To A Special Tennessee Titan's Cheerleader!

Jena Link e-mailed me and asked me if I would make her friend Val's 30th Birthday Cake. Val is a fellow Tennessee Titans Cheerleader with Jena. She e-mailed me a picture of what she wanted, but asked if I would change the colors to pink and white. No problem!
They are throwing Val a "little" Birthday Party tomorrow night. I hope you enjoy this beautiful cake! Thank you for asking me to make your fellow Titan's Cheerleader's special cake!
This cake is a double layer, hand cut out, and free-hand drawn. The cake is my Homemade Classic White Cake with Buttercream Icing....the icing has a touch of caramel flavoring for the perfect touch.
When my daughter, Katie saw it......she was so excited!
My husband John snapped this picture of me decorating this beautiful cake. I really enjoyed this cake because it was something different and "outside of the box".

Titan's Cake Pattern.....We turned it PINK!
Happy Birthday Val!!!

Happy Birthday Ben Elrod!!!

Kristen and Alan Elrod asked me to make their sweet son Ben a Dinosaur cake for his Birthday. Ben is "all about" Dinosaurs. I made this 3 D Cake out of my Homemade Yellow Cake with Caramel Flavored Buttercream Icing. A dinosaur is not complete without his long tail, spikes, and his reptilian scales.
When Alan and Kristen picked it up they were absolutely excited!
I can't wait to see Kristen's pictures of his party! She said that she would put them on her blog, My Space and Facebook. I can't wait to see Ben's expression!
Happy Birthday Ben!

I wanted to share these darling pictures from Andy Dunn's 6th Birthday Party. Our family loves the Dunn's very much and are very excited that Andy was able to celebrate his 6th Birthday healthy! Andy has a long route to go on his Road Map, but.....he's doing wonderful!
In a previous post, I had told you about Andy calling me himself and telling me what he wanted. I have had more calls and e-mails telling me how "Over The Top" this cake was. I have developed my skills with Fondant and am now taking orders for any type of cakes or confections that would require Fondant.
Last year, Andy called me himself from Vanderbilt Children's Hospital with his order for his "Sand Castle Cake" which was a HIT!

Sweet Confections

Sarah Covington called me from Franklin a little bit ago and asked me to make her brother Lynn McGregor a Homemade German Chocolate Cake (because it's his absolute favorite) for his Birthday. Lynn was so excited when it was delivered to him at Farm Credit Services.
My friend Tina @ United Diamond Brokers called me and asked me to make a Dessert Tray for a family member of hers who had passed away. They wanted to take it to the ICU Unit at River Park as a way of saying "Thank You" for what they had done for them.

This tray consists of Strawberries dipped in Gourmet Chocolate, Homemade Sugar Cookies with my delicious Buttercream Icing, Pretzels dipped in Gourmet Chocolate with Multi-Colored Sprinkles and Coconut, My Signature Homemade Strawberry Filled Cupcakes with my delicious Buttercream Icing, and last but not least.....My Own Creation....Millionaire Brownies. (My Secret Recipe Brownie's with Caramel & Gourmet Chocolate drizzled over each Brownie and topped off with Chopped Pecans) Yum Yum!

Thanks Tina and Sarah!

Have a Wonderful Day!

Wallace/Cottrell Wedding

I am sorry that it has taken me so long to get these beautiful pictures of Kendra's wedding posted.
Kendra picked out this beauty for their wedding cake. She had sent me a picture of a cake that she absolutely loved, but...wanted it tweaked a little. So....instead of it being round, we make it square. We added the Cotton Candy Pink Sheer Ribbon, used Vibrant Pink flowers between layers, and used solid white icing with pearls.
With so many guests, I made her an extra cake and used the fresh Gerber Daisy's and greenery as a topper.

All of the flowers on Kendra's cake were fresh. Roses, Carnations, Gerber Daisy's, and Small Orchids. Everything was BEAUTIFUL!

When Kendra came down to look at it.....she was all smiles and was so happy!
Congratulations!!!!

Andy Dunn's 6th Birthday

Happy Birthday goes to Andy Dunn! Andy will be 6 tomorrow. He and his family are at Disney World in Orlando this week. It's his "Make A Wish" trip.
Andy used his "handy dandy hot line" to call me and personally ask me to make him the Mickey Mouse Play House cake. He had "specific" instructions about the cake. Here he goes....Classic White Cake, Caramel flavor with the MM Playhouse on top. Well...Andy's wish is my command. I made his Club House out of Fondant. His body, head, foot, and hand are all Fondant. The cake was his favorite and he jumped straight up in the air when he and his family came to pick it up. The caramel flavoring made my kitchen smell sooooo yummy.
Happy Birthday Andy!
For those of you who don't know Andy, he's been battling Stage 4 Neuroblastoma Cancer 17 months. Oh, by the way......he fell in love with our new puppy Woody. He asked Dillon if he would bring him one just like Woody for his Birthday present. lol

Viva Las Vegas....

My friend Courtney Hollingsworth wanted to wish James Bennett a Happy Birthday with this Vegas Cake. She asked me to make her a Homemade Chocolate cake with White Buttercream Icing with Black Fondant trim just like a Die from the Casino's in Vegas. She told me that I could be as creative as I wanted and.....here it is! Each side has the fondant numerals on them. The Poker Chips and the Authentic Vegas cards in the best hand you could have for Vegas Style Poker....what could have been any better?

Happy Birthday James!
Enjoy Vegas Next Month!!!!!

A Little Bit Of Birthday Cake....

Michelle Prater ordered this darling cake for her son Braden's Birthday. I love the Curious George Theme! Last year we used red and white and had a Truck theme. This year.....she asked me to use the yellow and blue colors and of course....Curious George.
I made my homemade Chocolate cake...Michelle's fav and buttercream icing in her party colors.
My friend Creta ordered this cake for Project Graduation at Van Buren County for Friday night. I think it is absolutely beautiful! I took this picture before all of the icing had dried and sent it to Creta. She loved it!!! I loved the Burgundy and gold theme....which is VBHS colors!
Congratulations to the Graduating Class of 2009!
Diane Odom called and asked me to make her Mother's 90th Birthday cake. She said that she had 4 Diabetic family members and needed the cake to be entirely "Sugar Free". I made a Classic White cake Sugar Free and made a Sugar Free White Chocolate Whipped Icing. I trimmed it in beautiful Fresh Roses.
Happy Birthday Mrs. Woodlee!
Kathy Collier called me and asked me to make her daughter's 30th Birthday cake.
She requested my Homemade Red Velvet cake with my Homemade Cream Cheese Icing.
I chose to trim it off with Chocolate Fudge Buttercream Icing and a Beautiful Red Strawberry.
Happy Birthday!!!!!
